NikeWomen: Redesign

Nike wanted their NikeWomen.com site to reach a new generation of athletes: high school and college-age women who train with total intensity and love their team. I worked with art directors and interaction designers to completely redesign the site. We gave it the modular feel of an ever-changing magazine. New interactive features elevated the profile of the users, otherwise known as badass athletes.

"Gone Running" gave women a new reason to run every 15 minutes-with product picks matched to the current local weather. "Work2Play" introduced six athletes to watch and showed their unique workouts. "Nike Field Reporter" invited women to apply for the coolest summer job ever: a roving correspondent who interviews (and trains with) Serena Williams, Mia Hamm and other Nike stars. The feature attracted hundreds of video submissions, boosted traffic and earned plenty of blog buzz. Nike Field Reporter has evolved into a popular blog of its own, with more than 20 young athletes contributing stories every week.
